Jennifer Freeman, “My Wife and Kids” actress, is being accused of assaulting her spouse, NBA basketball player Earl Watson. Legal papers filed last week by Watson outlined details of the event, stating that Jennifer had attacked Watson because he was curious about a late-night text message she had gotten. Watson also had filed for divorce after the fight, seeking sole custody of the their 10-month-old daughter.

As outlined by court documents, TMZ reports that the fight began when Earl Watson decided to look through Jennifer Freeman’s phone because of a suspicious text message she had received at about 11 p.m. Aug. 1. Watson said that Jennifer, who was upset at the fact he took the phone, started to hit him “twice in the face with her right open hand.” As outlined by court papers, she than grabbed and bit into Watson’s right wrist, “breaking the skin, leaving teeth marks and drawing blood.” After biting the wrist, Watson said Jennifer proceeded to chomp down on his chest, making him bleed once more. But it didn’t stop there. According to Watson, Jennifer even attempted to attack him with an iron, but he was able to prevent any more harm by knocking the object out of her hand.
Jennifer Freeman, who is 24, is best known for her role as Claire Kyle in the ABC television sitcom “My Wife and Kids.”
Earl and Jennifer are still in love
Earl Watson, who played with the Indiana Pacers last season, appears to have had a change of heart. New reports indicate that Watson had decided to withdraw his divorce petition. According to the gossip news site, the two are reconciling with “plans for making their marriage work.”
Earl Watson and Jennifer Freeman were married May 17, 2009, at TV producer Ed Weinberger’s California mansion in Los Angeles. Their first and only child, Isabella Amour Watson, was born last year on Oct. 16.
